Basic Fire Fighting (2 day class) Course 144. This course (MITPMI-54) is designed to train seafarers in minimizing risk, maintaining state of readiness, and extinguishing shipboard fires. It combines both classroom and practical fire-field exercises in full turnout gear with live burns. In order to receive a certificate, you will need to get a minimum score of 80%. At the end of this course, you will have to complete the “Final Written Test”. Use this number if you are required to track time spent during training.
Finally, online learning is based on content and learner responsibility. Passing the quiz will confirm that you have obtained the knowledge required to fight incipient fires. The participant may take the quiz as many times as necessary in order to achieve the 80% mark.
